The Masters programme Cultural Studies in English: Texts and Contexts is, at present, the only one dedicated exclusively to cultural studies in Catalonia, that is, cultural studies as it is defined in English-speaking countries.
The programme is designed for those interested in academic research, and for those who wish to bridge the gap between the more general undergraduate degree in English and a PhD degree.
The Masters programme is especially suitable for candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree (Spanish Licenciate or International equivalent) in the Humanities, Social Sciences or in Law. Similarly, candidates from Pedagogy and Teacher Training Colleges will find the Masters programme very rewarding as it will offer them an in-depth awareness of a rapidly changing world.
The Masters programme Cultural Studies in English: Texts and Contexts will engage students and teachers in a transcultural dialogue. The main objective of this dialogue will be to provide ways and means to respond to the cultural challenges of a fast-changing world. The focus will be on group discussion and in-depth analyses of cultural differences and complexities in English-speaking worlds.
