VISIT TO TARRAGONA
Tarragona is a city with thousands of years of history. Ancient Tarraco, founded by the romans, was one of the most important cities in the Mediterranean. The impressive Roman legacy has been declared a World Heritage Site by the Unesco.
We will visit some of the most important monuments of this legacy.
We will walk over the Pont del Diable or Aqüeducte de les Ferreres. The famous Pont del Diable, or Devil’s Bridge is only a fragment of a much larger conduit used to supply the city with water from the Francolí river. The water was taken from the Rourell area, 92 meters above sea level and carried for more than 10 km through a network of conduits and aqueducts of different sizes. The portion constituting what is today called Devil’s Bridge is 217 meters long by 2 meters wide and reaching a maximum height of 27 meters. The upper tier is comprised of 25 arches and the lower tier of 11 each with a span of 5.9 meters. The structure was built in the first century A.D.
We will also visit the pretorium, the circus, the amphitheatre, the Cathedral, the old town streets and the wall.
The amphitheatre is an oval structure built in the 2nd century overlooking the sea, its stands were carved directly out of the underlying bedrock. The amphitheatre is 109.5 meters long by 86.5 metres wide and can hold up to 14,000 spectators. In its day, it was the scene of fights between gladiators and against wild beasts, as well as public executions.
In the 2nd century B.C., a great wall was built around Tarraco, delimiting the municipal boundaries. The wall originally ran some 3,500 metres. Today, approximately 1,100 metres remain, bordering present-day Tarragona's Old Quarter. The walls are the oldest Roman construction still conserved outside Italy. Between the 16th and 18th centuries they were reinforced with bulwarks, a curtain wall and exterior fortifications in order to adapt the Tarragona defences to new forms of artillery.
Located between Via Augusta and the provincial forum, Tarragona's circus was once used to hold horse and chariot races. An elongated structure measuring 325 by 115 metres, its original capacity has been estimated at 30,000 spectators. The complex was built in the 1st century. Unusually, it was located within the city limits and is thus endowed with several atypical architectural features. It is considered one of the best-preserved circuses in the West, although some of the original structure remains hidden under old 19th-century buildings.

PORT AVENTURA

From the tallest and fastest roller coasters in Europe to the smaller rides that parents and children can enjoy together in the magical family area of Sésamo Aventura. It has more than 40 attractions, over 100 performances daily shows an almost 90 restore points.
The most iconic attraction is the Dragon Khan roller coaster with spectaculars twists and loops and is located in China’s area. One of the novelties of this year is the Shambhala, which will be the tallest and fastest coaster in Europe, with 76 meters and a speed of 134 km/h in the first fall.

It is a two-hour tour of low difficulty. We will visit the medieval city of Altafulla, its beaches, Torredembarra’s lighthouse and the Roman Village of Els Munts. In our way back begins the most exciting part of the route when we will check that the Segwayx2 works perfectly in the sand. We will go to the Gaia’s river mouth and will follow different paths to the castle of Tamarit

COLLES CASTELLERES – HUMAN TOWERS
See a rehearsal of traditional human tower building of Catalonia showing the power of working together as a team.
A castell is a human tower built traditionally in festivals at many locations within Catalonia, Spain. At these festivals, several colles castelleres or teams often succeed in building and dismantling a tower's structure. On November 16, 2010, castells were declared by UNESCO to be amongst the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

JUNGLE TREK EN LA PUNTA DE LA MORA
Jungle Trek es una alternativa de ocio donde las emociones están aseguradas. Vuela entre los árboles en cualquiera de los 5 circuitos donde encontrarás tirolinas, puentes de mono, paso de la araña, liana de Tarzán, columpios de cuerdas, etc…

VISITA TARRAGONA
Visita al Pont del Diable, Amfiteatro, Pretorio-Circo, Catedral y murallas.
Visitaremos el "Pont del Diable" o "Acueducto de les Ferreres". Este es sólo un fragmento de una larga canalización que sirvió para, tras encauzar el agua desde el río Francolí, abastecer a la ciudad de Tárraco.
Fue construido en el siglo I d.C. y tenía una longitud de 15 kilómetros de los cuales actualmente todavía se conservan 217 metros. Es uno de los monumentos mejor conservados de la época romana y después de una profunda restauración de más de dos años ahora podremos cruzarlo a pie por su parte superior, es decir, por el “specus”, el canal por el cual se abastecía de agua a la ciudad.
Recorreremos los 1.000 metros que se conservan de la antigua MURALLA romana; el CIRCO construido en el siglo I y con capacidad para 30.000 espectadores, es una parada obligada. Su cabecera es la que mejor se conserva de toda Europa; El AMFITEATRO, otro de los lugares de mayor impacto de la época. Se construyó en el siglo II en forma elíptica y tiene capacidad para 14.000 espectadores. En su interior se desarrollaban todo tipo de espectáculos de gladiadores y fieras salvajes.
La ciudad ha sabido cuidar y respetar el legado que nos dejaron los romanos. Por todo ello, la Tarragona romana que pervive en la actualidad fue reconocida por la UNESCO, en el mes de noviembre del 2000 como PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD.

Fue el primer parque temático que se abrió en España. Cuenta con más de 40 atracciones, más de 100 representaciones diarias de espectáculos y casi 90 puntos de restauración. Está dividido en 6 áreas temáticas: Mediterráneo, China, Far West, Polynesia, México y Sésamo Aventura. Cada área cuenta con sus propias atracciones, tiendas, espectáculos y restaurantes. La atracción más emblemática de Port Aventura es el Dragón Khan, una montaña rusa con espectaculares loopings y giros situada en el área de China. Una de las novedades para este año 2012 es el Shambhala, que será la montaña rusa más alta y rápida de Europa con 76 metros de altura y una velocidad de 134km/h en la primera caída.

RUTA EN SEGWAY POR ALTAFULLA
Es un recorrido de dos horas de dificultad baja. Visita al conjunto medieval de la ciudad, paseo marítimo, faro de Torredembarra y la villa romana de Els Munts. A la vuelta empieza el recorrido más emocionante donde comprobaremos que el segway x2 funciona perfectamente por la arena, entraremos en la desembocadura del río Gaià i seguiremos las pistas sin asfaltar hasta el castillo de Tamarit.

COLLES CASTELLERES
Asistiremos a un ensayo de las “colles castelleres”.
Los “Castells” son torres humanas donde intervienen un gran nombre de personas con el objetivo de levantar diferentes construcciones humanas sin ningún tipo de ayuda mecánica.

VISITA TARRAGONA
Recorrerem els 1.000 metres que es conserven del traça de l’antiga MURALLA romana; el CIRC construït el segle I i amb capacitat per a 30.000 espectadors, és una parada obligada. La seva capçalera és la més ben conservada de tot Europa; l’AMFITEATRE, un altre dels punts més impactants de l’època romana. Es construí el segle II en forma el·líptica i té capacitat per 12.000 espectadors. En el seu interior s’hi celebraven tota mena d’espectacles de gladiadors i feres salvatges. El recinte, al seu torn, féu les funcions d’indret de martiri dels primers cristians tarraconenses coneguts. La ciutat ha sabut cuidar i respectar el llegat que els romans ens deixaren. Per tot això, la Tarragona romana que perviu en l’actualitat va ser reconeguda per la Unesco, el mes de novembre de l’any 2000 PATRIMONI DE LA HUMANITAT.

RUTA EN SEGWAY PER ALTAFULLA
És un recorregut de dues hores de dificultat baixa. Visita al conjunt medieval de la vila, passeig marítim, far de Torredembarra i vila romana dels Munts. A la tornada comença el tram més off road de la ruta i comprovarem com el segway x2 funciona perfectament per la sorra per entrar a la desembocadura del riu Gaià i seguir les pistes sense asfaltar fins al castell de Tamarit.
Assistirem a un assaig de les colles castelleres
Els castells són torres humanes on intervenen un gran nombre de persones amb l’objectiu d’aixecar diferents construccions humanes sense cap mena d’ajuda mecànica. Són de diversa complexitat i poden arribar a tenir fins a deu pisos d’alçada. Des del 16 de novembre de 2010 els castell són Patrimoni Cultural Immaterial de la Humanitat per la Unesco.
