Sant Vicenç de Calders is a town in the municipality of El Vendrell. The town was an independent municipality until 1940, and is situated 3.4 kilometers south-west of El Vendrell. It has slightly over one hundred inhabitants.
The town is situated around an incline of 100 meters, with a core of houses dating from the XVIII century. This location enables a splendid view over the bay of Coma-ruga, Sant Salvador and El Francàs. At the end of the XIX century, the railroad connections between Martorell and Tarragona (via Vilafranca) and Barcelona-Vilanova-Valls were constructed. These two lines join only 3 kilometers next to Sant Vicenç, where afterwards the train station quarter of Sant Vicenç de Calders was erected. The surroundings of Sant Vicenç de Calders today belong to Comaruga, after the urban expansion of the latter.
